Taylor Holmes

LPC

Hi! My name is Taylor Holmes. I graduated from Boise State University where I received my master’s degree in Counseling, specializing in addictions. I am originally from California but did most of my “growing up” in the Houston area down in Texas. I got my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University in a tiny town called Nacogdoches, Texas. I have wanted to be a counselor for as long as I can remember. I am here to help give you a voice, a listening ear, and work to reach your personal goals.

My approach to counseling is through Person Centered Therapy which means I believe you are the expert in your own life but I am here to help you sort through it all! I take approaches from other therapies as well such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and really value a strengths based approach to help you feel confident in reaching your goals.

When I’m not at work, some of my favorite things to do are camping, reading, spending time with family, board games, and whatever I find myself binge watching on Netflix. I love to go for walks outside with my dog and recently got into role playing games.

I’d love to meet with and get to know you!

  • Addiction

  • Anxiety

  • Cognitive disabilities

  • Coping skills
