George Larsen

CBRS Specialist

I graduated from Idaho State University in 1985 with a bachelor of arts in Sociology.  I was tired of being a poor college student and chose to find work rather than pursuing further education

The next 20 plus years I spent in retail management. I moved often and lived in 5 different states. Due to burn out, I tried a few different things: fast food(not for me); Sales(also not for me); retail merchandising; and various other jobs. In 2017 I began working with adults with disabilities as a residential habilitation(reshab) technician, and doing some  direct care. I found I really enjoy working with others. I now have a passion for working with adults with disabilities and substance abuse issues. My hobbies include fishing, camping, biking(pedal), disc golf, watching football, playing guitar, movies, thrift stores, and tinkering with appliances and vehicles. Rivers and mountains are my happy place. My passion is helping others with substance abuse and mental health issues.

I look forward to being a part of  the Visions Counseling team as a CBRS specialist.
